The place is an absolute craphole. Getting rid of police and firefighters is an absolute genius move in a terrible excuse for a city that has rampant crime and regular emergencies. Way to go.

City of Newburgh still continues to be the joke of the county. Laying off cops and fireman is again going backwards like they continue to do. The water front is slowly going down hill also. I will never go back. All they are doing to do is get cops and fireman hurt because of manpower. But they still allow the city to go to hell. Just look around. A typical Democrat run city. Sad! So much potential wasted.

They just laid off police and firefighters, sacrificed the safety of the community, all because they don’t know how to form a proper budget. Disgraceful.

Great job City of Newburgh for cutting more police officers... that was not the answer. Who ended up getting a pay raise because of these cuts??? I can’t wait until bail reform starts.... these cuts will really be glaring when that begins!!
