We visited the new Central Park and the kids LOVED the new and updated equipment! However each time I come home I'm left wondering WHY the city does not have an Aquatic center? We live in central Indiana where many cities such as Kokomo and Lafayette have beautiful aquatic centers. Would be nice to see something like that in the future!
I wonder how large a surplus of funds(Overtime) the Street Department is sitting on? Last evening at 8:15 PM we had street sweepers on East 6Th. Street and they did 2 runs, rather silly when you consider everyone was home for the evening and cars were parked on both sides of the street. Will they be back today during daylight so that they can clean all the way to the curbs?
Called about a tree downed across Triple Crown ...dismissed with a curt "we have a crew working on it right now" There is nobody there, especially city workers.

Thank you Mayor Wood, City of Mishawaka, and everyone else involved with the beautification of Central Park! We attended the ribbon cutting and were absolutely blown away by all of the amazing attractions and features that went into remodeling the park. There was such attention paid to even small details. We feel so fortunate to have another amazing recreational area so close to our home. Thank you for the time and effort that was necessary to make this happen!
Thank you for getting the street sweeper trucks out this Spring. But could you please give us warning as to when they're coming? I have no where to park but the street and no warning as to when the trucks are coming which means the street where I park (and have to enter and exit my car) hasn't been cleaned in over a year. It makes me wonder what the point is of them coming.
I just wanted to commend the city and Mayor Dave Wood for getting the city debt free. That is no easy task economically, fiscally, or politically, and one that is very unappreciated in modern politics. Thank you for being responsible with taxpayers money and not using credit excessively.
Well, the Mishawaka Summerfest has officially fallen behind the Osceola Bluegrass Festival. The difference being the OC Bluegrass Festival now has a better food selection and from what I heard, better music. I'm sure you guys payed dearly for that Tom Petty tribute band, and I love Tom Petty...they were awful. Horrible layout...my family will probably not be back next year...
