Stopped in while on business from Texas. This place can hang with all the bests in Austin. I can totally see why they are selling out everyday.
From the first time we had CB, we knew we would use them for our wedding (we weren’t even engaged yet lol)! JD and his staff were amazing and the food was DELICIOUS, per usual! Nearly everyone came up to me and asked who we used for our caterer and told us it was some of the best bbq they’ve ever had! Thanks for making our wedding reception dinner a success!! ��

I've had brisket at some of the best barbecue restaurants in the country and have smoked many of them myself. City Butcher is right up there with the best. Perfectly smoked. Tender. Juicy. Excellent bark. I almost forgot to try the sauce (good 'cue doesn't need sauce) but remembered before I took the last bite and the mustard sauce was incredible. My only very minor complaint was that the pieces were sliced too thick. Some of the pieces were 1/2" or wider. I only got about 6 slices in the pound I ordered, so it felt a bit sk... read more
