Unbelievable – Absolutely the best steak in town. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Located in a quaint converted house in historic downtown Kirkwood. I have eaten at the best steak houses across the country and I still rate them in the top 5. One taste and you will be convinced too.
Fantastic Steakhouse – Citizen Kane's is a great steakhouse without the pretension of some other steakhouses. My wife and I have eaten there about eight times, and never been disappointed. The steaks and sauces are the best in St. Louis (we can't speak for other entrees, though).
strip, strip, strip – Go for the Strip Steak with the garlic butter ... and the mushrooms ... the filet is also terrific ... don't waste your time on the fish of the day ... nice selection of scotch too!
Belissimo – This is a wonderful place. We first went there as a suggestion for use of a wedding gift. We enjoyed it so well that we go back every year for our anniversary, not to mention for other special occassions. We took our daughter there for her High School Graduation. She absolutely loved it. The service is wonderful and the food is fantastic. Now, we give out gift certificates for wedding gifts ourself! It's a great choice.
Great Cozy Place – This is a great little place but worth the price.
Worth the price – Steak houses seem to be in two categories - $16 and $26. Kanes falls in the $26. For about that you can select a strip or filet and get a salad and starch to go with it. The meat is awesome. Cooked to perfection in a generous portion. The staff is attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere is upbeat. This is the best of the $26 steak places. Others compared to - Dierdorf & Harts, Sams, Andrias, St. Louis Steak (is it still open?) Mike Shannon's.
The Very Best! – The service, food, and atmosphere was very pleasing. A very wonderful evening!!
Steak & Seafood Excellence – Truly a wonderful dining experience. Dining within what was formerly a victorian home adds greatly to the ambience. I would highly reccomend any of their steaks or seafood selections.
