Formerly a residence, Citizen Kane's is decorated with old movie photos and memorabilia. Superb steaks, one of its specialties, are aged and seasoned to perfection. The enormous pork chops are equally tasty. Fresh seafood is another popular menu item. Soup or salad comes with your meal, along with a choice of one of the excellent side dishes. Desserts vary daily. This casual and comfortable restaurant is open only for dinner.

Like cutting through butter! – My husband and I just had the best steaks we've ever had. He had the filet, which must've come from Paul Bunyan's ox...it was huge. The side was the red potatoes with onions. I had the medallions with mushroom burgandy sauce...there were two medallions the size of two normal filets. My side was the garlic mashed potatoes. Get rid of the Vinyl Table Cloths – My filet was excellent and the service was good. When I paying those kind of prices, I would prefer not to dine on cheap vinyl table cloths...Time for an upgrade I would say.
Simply a rosebud – The first time I went to Citizen Kane's was just before the opera. The staff assured us that we would make the opening curtain and still enjoy a wonderful meal. They were right!! The steaks at Citizen Kane's are the THE BEST in Saint Louis. There isno comparing a chain like Longhorn to Citizen Kane's. They are not even in the same category. You are treated like family and a loved family member at that. I highly recommend Citizen Kane's.

Must Try – You have got to try Citizen Kane's. The atmospehere in there is wonderful, located in an old mansion. The appetizers were very good, the rosebud salad out of this world. The NY Strip was perfect. Lean, tender, tasty and huge. What a wonderful dining experience we had. When we make the trek to St. louis Citizen kanes is a must!
Best steak in St.Louis area – Steak is flavorful and tender. Will not be disappointed. More than you can eat in most cases.

Great experience – Best steaks and food in general in town. Have eaten there several times with family and out of town guests. Every time has been a wonderful experience. Family owned and operated and it shows.
Best of the Best in St. Louis – I have had the pleasure of dinning at Citizen Kane's many times with my husband over the last year and a half. It is without a doubt the best there is.
