About a month ago, I went to this branch to open a bank account for my mom, who was visiting Canada. The first employee we met clearly said she could open an account even with a visitor visa. We booked an appointment with another agent the following week, who told us something different — that my mom couldn’t open one alone, but she could still be added under my account with me as the primary holder.
