Located in tastefully renovated Wallingford Center, Chutneys Bistro is one of three Chutneys in Seattle. The interior is casual yet tasteful with Indian accents throughout. The crowd comes from the neighborhood and nearby University of Washington. Authentic tandoori dishes come from a traditional clay oven. Curries with chicken, lamb and shrimp are cooked to perfection. Kothmir Chicken, cooked in a coconut curry sauce, is excellent. The soft warm naan bread helps diffuse the spicy heat.

A terrific restaurant – Our family has been going to Chutney's for quite some time. The ambiance is fine, the food is awsome, and the Owner is wonderful. Truly, the Indian food couldn't be better and they'll go out of their way to please; all you have to do is ask. If it's not on the menu - they' do their best to make it just the way you want it - if possible.
Excellent – I've been a regular customer of Chutney's for over a year now. I found out abt the restaurant through city guide itself. I've always felt so welcomed from Harish, infact he knows exactly where i like to sit, so he'll make sure...that i get my table. The food is unbelievable aswell. The atmosphere is very friendly. They go out of their way to give you a good experience, and that's true customer service to me.
Mainstream Indian cuisine offers an appealingly upscale atmosphere. – In Short Chutney's made its name with standards mixed with "Americanized" variations on Indian flavors. Dishes range from traditional vegetable pakoras (deep fried vegetable dumplings) to chicken tandoori, marinated in yogurt and baked in a round clay oven. The signature tikka masala, with chunks of lamb bathed a blend of butter, cream and curry, is as rich as it sounds.
Reasonable Indian food in Wallingford – Surprisingly good Bengali-style Indian food, with a few unusual twists (try the Kabuli naan, for example). Best are the conventional South Asian dishes. They will occasionally overreach with their "special" or non-characteristic dishes, so order carefully. Service is friendly. Located in Wallingford Center.
good stuff – Has always been good every time I've gone. Never disappointed. They have really good rice pudding desert, and most entrees are quite good. The lunch buffet is a good value and gives a good chance to sample the variety of dishes this place has to offer. The staff has always been very excited about the food and have always recieved good service.
We had the same experience! – We had the same experience. The food wasn't really late but the delivery person called us twice for the directions on his way to our house. Finally when he showed up, he was a short guy talkin on his cell phone which we found very rude, but then he put the person on the line on a hold. We didn't call the restaurant to complain about him, but now that it has happened with sumone else too i thought it was necessary for me to let this be knwon about their driver.
