Chutneys Bistro

4.1

About this business

Located in tastefully renovated Wallingford Center, Chutneys Bistro is one of three Chutneys in Seattle. The interior is casual yet tasteful with Indian accents throughout. The crowd comes from the neighborhood and nearby University of Washington. Authentic tandoori dishes come from a traditional clay oven. Curries with chicken, lamb and shrimp are cooked to perfection. Kothmir Chicken, cooked in a coconut curry sauce, is excellent. The soft warm naan bread helps diffuse the spicy heat.

Very Tasty Indian Food – I really enjoy the food at Chutney's. The staff is always gracious and we are seated promptly. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice meal out and we use them for take-out as well.

Chutney's Chicken Tikka Masala ~ MMMMMMMMMM!!! – We've been coming to Chutney's for our Indian takeout fix for almost two years now, and their Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tikka Masala simply can't be beat!. We routinely try new Indian places everywhere throughout Seattle and also wherever we travel, but I generally end up comparing other places to Chutney's and Chutney's wins. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic new digs! Beautiful patio! – Chutney's moved to the other side of Wallingford Center and it's gorgeous! I thought the move off busy 45th might not be good but it's an improvement. The inside of the restaurant now has booths, a bar and looks much more comfy. The patio is lovely with a nice fountain. Perfect for a balmy summer night. I think the orientation even avoids hot early evening sun. Same great food.

Beautiful Restaurant – Harish Congratualtions on the recent changes you've made with the restaurant. It looks beautiful. For anyone who has not been to Chutney's Bistro, i highly recommend it. Specially at night time the place is gorgeous. The food is amazing, specially the paneer kofta's. I almost ate my fingers last time. The staff is so generous and specially the owner, who goes out of his way to make you meal memorable every time. The prices are reasonable, you definately get your money's worth. I'm a true fan.

A Lovely Experience – First of all the place looks beautiful. It has changed so much since before. I absolutely love all the changes done to it. Can you tell i'm a regular?...yup, very much so. It's one of those places that you get so attached to everyone there that you can't help but kep going back. It's such a family oriented restaurant and great food offcourse to go with it. I love the special menu, everything is so exotic. I really recommend it for families or special occasions. The tikka masala is amazing and the tamari... read more

One of my favorites – Chutney's is consistently good. Great food! They even make good martinis. I love Indian food and enjoy trying new Indian restaurants in town. Chutney's in Wallingford never disappoints.

A terrific restaurant – Our family has been going to Chutney's for quite some time. The ambiance is fine, the food is awsome, and the Owner is wonderful. Truly, the Indian food couldn't be better and they'll go out of their way to please; all you have to do is ask. If it's not on the menu - they' do their best to make it just the way you want it - if possible.

Excellent – I've been a regular customer of Chutney's for over a year now. I found out abt the restaurant through city guide itself. I've always felt so welcomed from Harish, infact he knows exactly where i like to sit, so he'll make sure...that i get my table. The food is unbelievable aswell. The atmosphere is very friendly. They go out of their way to give you a good experience, and that's true customer service to me.

Mainstream Indian cuisine offers an appealingly upscale atmosphere. – In Short Chutney's made its name with standards mixed with "Americanized" variations on Indian flavors. Dishes range from traditional vegetable pakoras (deep fried vegetable dumplings) to chicken tandoori, marinated in yogurt and baked in a round clay oven. The signature tikka masala, with chunks of lamb bathed a blend of butter, cream and curry, is as rich as it sounds.
