I spent many months with Dr Stokoe going through chemo and am now 7 years cancer free. He still shows the greatest care every time I see him and I feel confident that he will find anything if cancer should rear its ugly head again. It is the gift of peace of mind.
I have been seeing Dr. Stokoe for several years now. I felt like my previous oncologist failed to see me as a person. She barely looked my in the eye as she typed into her computer. She was also only interested in me doing exactly what she prescribed regardless of how it made me feel health wise. Dr Stokoe is very different. He treats you like a person, not a problem to solve. My treatment plan was explained very clearly to me. What his experiences had been prescribing it in the past, as well as the fact that I’d be closely monitored. Both of these made me feel confident in moving forward with it. And since beginning my course, I’ve received excellent care. No question is too small, no concern is dismissed. I’m one of many patients, but I feel very seen & very heard.
Dr. Stokoe is a gentle, caring doctor. He cares about the whole person, both physically and mentally. He listens and understands how a cancer diagnosis can affect not only you as a patient but your spouse and family as well and is so caring and has a very calming nature about him. I cannot say enough good things about this man. I have been blessed to be in his care for over 17 years now. So thankful for him in my life.
In addition to being an outstanding and knowledgeable oncologist, Dr. Stokoe is a very compassionate and caring person. He's highly dedicated to his patients and their needs and never rushes his appointments. Several of my friends and co-workers have also gone to him and highly recommend him.
Dr. Stokoe has been my oncologist for 18 years. He is very competent, but what stands out is his kindness. I’m so thankful that he’s my doctor.
