I have been a patien of Dr. Christopher Stokoe for 15 years. He is truly one of the best Doctors I have ever had. He is very caring, takes the time to listen to me, answers all my questions, and never rushes through my appointments. I can't say enough good things about him!
Dr. Stokoe is one of the most competent physicians that I have ever been in contact with. He's always had my utmost care and well being as his highest priority for the last 3 years. And his staff are equally as responsive to my needs.
I went in with an early stage breast cancer which is considered cureable, but am now at stage 4 due to ineffective treatments. I did chemo, surgeries, proton radiation and they could never cure my cancer. Treatment also damaged my heart. Be sure to see a cardiologist before starting breast cancer treatments. Don’t let this doctor tell you it’s not needed. I’ve transferred my care to UTSW. Just hope it’s not too late.

Dr. Stoked is fantastic! No matter what my concerns are, Dr. Stokoe listens and reassures me. He is a very caring doctor and I'm so glad he's my oncologist.
He and his Staff have been so amazing! Very caring and informative. Feel very confident we are headed in a positive direction.
The Doctor always has a reason to not be available. You will speak and see the assisting nurse more than you will see the doctor. You will need to know more about Cancer to provide recommendations on treatment then they will provide. You're treated as an illness, not a person. They pitch services as a sale, not as a treatment option. This is the most stressful time of a patients life, and more often than not it seems it's preyed upon.
Bad things happen. I had family emergencies and had to reschedule. After that the nurse said Dr. Stokoe didn't want to see me, but I was welcome to schedule with any other Doc in the building. When my wife tried to do so, I don’t know what he did, but he made all other oncologists to gang up against me. Even the one who already accepted me and put my appt on the calendar, cancelled. What kind of "no harm" doctor would do that to cancer patient? And if he can do that, what else is he capable of?
I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Stokoe as part of my team of collaborative health care providers to treat my breast cancer diagnosis. He is caring, approachable, excellent bedside manner, explained rationale for treatment protocols and answered any and all my questions with both compassion and expertise. Dr. Stokoe has an excellent staff working with him. I have equally highest regards and respect for NP Cindy Bedell.
Dr Stokoe went out of his way to get me in a Clinical Trial that TX Oncology was not open to (only due to not have a patient that fit the requirements). He searched out this trail to help me!!!!!
