I had a very stubborn stone. Dr. Larson worked hard to get it. He tried the least invasive and least risky measures first. He had to place a stent, due to having a narrow ureter. I then had kidney laser lithotripsy. He was able to blast it to smithereens and a few hours later I had little to no pain! Dr. Larson is a very knowledgeable and skilled doctor. I have had kidney stones before. All of my symptoms point to kidney stones. The only time I saw him, he didn't shake my hand or do a physical examination...nothing. He sent me for a CT Scan. It took me calling 3 times to get them to schedule that appointment. He told me if I didn't hear back from them by a specific day and time, I was to call them for the results. The second that I walked out of his office I knew that I would never see this guy again. Condescending, smug and uncaring. But thing worst thing was unprepared. He had no idea or had researched that I had had a PET scan or was not familiar with the results of my CT scan.I have never taken the time to write an online review but felt compelled to do so now. Prompt, answers honestly . Would recommend.
Poor bedside manner!
Dr. Larson provided care during a recent issue with kidney stones. His straight forward approach and solution was well within the norms for treatment and I felt I was in good hands the entire time.
I had a bladder and prostate issue and Dr Larson performed the outpatient surgical procedure with excellent skill and compassion. It was necessary for me to have a catheter for 3 days after the procedure and the staff made sure I was comfortable with the entire experience. Dr Larson is and will continue to be my urologist.
