What a kind, intelligent, thoughtful doctor … I think Julee is remarkably good. I like everything about her approach. I highly recommend her and won’t switch to anyone else even though I have to drive a few hours to her office.
I knew I needed the discs replaced between my C5-C7, so I was mainly shopping for a surgeon. I had seen 5 surgeons prior to having a consultation with Dr. Chung. Excellent, Dr. Chung is very personable and actually listens to you. He explains everything thoroughly. Does not suggest surgery as a first option. Wants other efforts tried first. He looks out for you and your care.
He explained the hernia surgery, answered my questions about it, and told me what to expect during recovery after the surgery. He explained where the surgery would occur. The surgical center where I had the operation was great as were the medical people there. My life has certainly improved after the surgeries.

I've been a patient of Dr. Chung for over 5 years. He has performed cervical fusions on me. The outcomes exceeded my expectations. I have scheduled a lumbar surgery with him. After doing my own research, I independently made the decision to choose Dr. Chung as my spine surgeon. I spoke to people I knew who were critical care nurses, and medical reps who sell hardware and materials used for spine surgeries. My husband and I where very impressed with Dr. Chung as a doctor and person. He explains any concerns to make sure you understand your procedure and don't have any doubts and fell confident with your procedure. He and his staff are all impressive in there own rights. I had a multi lower back fusion and would highly recommend Dr. Chung and his team. I would just end on this, I have never meet any physician with such an out going and positive personality.
Dr Schmitz was my surgeon for a peritoneal carcinoma procedure and scheduled my surgery as quickly as possible, called me on the Saturday following the surgery to let me know the pathology results, and also called when she knew that my daughter could be part of the conversation. I so appreciate Dr Schmitz's empathy, thoughtfulness, and exemplary skills.
