One of the best in town I hate to recommend Dr. Achterman. Why? Because still more demand created by this recommendation for this gentle man will suffocate his ability to supply! What a pleasure my visits have been. He takes time, thinks, ponders, is enthusiastic, experienced, deliberate, but never cocksure- even after practicing all these years!- He is also charitable (he travelled to Haiti to do emergency surgeries on earthquake victims.) All in all: the kind of doctor we all wish we had more of- and in every specialty!

My husband had a stay here in 2009 for open heart surgery and every part of the process, from pre-registration, to pre-op preparation, to his post-op care was phenomenal! It is our favorite hospital in the area! The cafeteria was nice and friendly, but not too big. The gift shop the same. We would not hesitate to have any procedure done here!

Great Hospital for home birth transports Portland area home birth midwives have a great relationship with this hospital. The staff works hard to make the transports from home births and birth centers a smooth transition for laboring women.
hopewell hospice family/friends opinion This place was awesome. excellent nursing care and lots of pain management. One shouldn't be in pain while dying, they were great. Guest room was comfortable, clean, and convenient. Glad this place is here. Wish everyone could have a place to go to like this when needed.
A great doctor I met this Dr. thru a friend preparing for a knee replacement surgery. My friend has had a few problems along the way and I commend the patience and caring of this doctor just by observing him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
