I contacted Christini about there AWD EBike and DS, I was surprised to hear back from Steve Christini himself who answered all my questions in a day or two. Now I am waiting until they get approved by Transport Canada to order one of the 450 Dual Sports, especially because of the uniqness of the bike but also the kind and personal service so far.
I have had my 2017 Christini EC300 for a couple months now and have had 0 problems with the awd. It does not feel heavy and I do not fight the front end at all. I have been running it with the AWD engaged at all times and it makes the front end feel so much more planted at all times. Only things I feel required any changes to ride at an A level pace is the front suspension was too soft and the jetting was too rich.
