I felt like my concerns were ignored. I left my yearly exam without a referral for a mammogram. I had to get one from my primary. Also have to wait 3 more months to see a different gynecologist so my issues can be addressed.

What stood out is the poor service from her. She acted as though she didn't want to hear details of the problem, kept saying you are fine, and cutting off the conversation when I tried to explain my history. She had not even looked at the file so she wasn't aware of the serious issues. Rushed and trivialized the issue.Won't be back.

If I could leave negative stars I could. I was 32 weeks pregnant and her amazing coworker was out of town which is the only doctor I wanted to see. Dr Hunter refused to see me and told me via her nurse to wait it out. It had already been an entire 24 hours of no movement. If I wouldn't have went with my gut and went straight to MUSC we both wouldn’t have made it due to a rapid infection. The MUSC doctors were appalled. The lack of respect and the lack of care is very dangerous.

My daughter is her patient. She is pregnant and was very ill from Covid. When she visited Summerville Medical she was told she needed antibody infusion. No one ever contacted her for scheduling so I called Trident, assuming they would be receiving referral. When contacted by the infusion department for referral, (so-called nurse) Gail said she would send it right over to MUSC as Trident had no more appointments until Tuesday. She’s negligently slack and rushed. Why the heck is she asking for new patients? She doesn’t have time for the ones she has. Doesn’t follow up. They are quick to shove people off on the ER. When u have an emergency she cannot get u in for 14 days. She stood outside my door discussing my case to get briefed where everyone could hear. That’s a problem she doesn’t read her old notes herself and doesn’t document well. Tech put instrument parts off the pad on the counter. I pointed it out as a concern. She used them anyway. She listened to all of my questions and concerns and knew exactly what was going on with me, even though it was not her area and she had to refer me to a specialist.

I visited Dr. Hunter upon my relocation to the area. She was highly recommended by my other physicians. It seems the low scoring reviews are old as my first experience was very good. Dr. Hunter was thorough and spent a lot of time with me. I did not feel rushed nor was the staff rude.
