Took my daughter to Dr. Chang.She reported she had no cavities.I was turned off by her office manner--i.e patient's with my type of insurance are generally not seen on Sat (but she was doing me a favor )and that this was ,"per your ins read your benefits".However when I called my dental hmo to question this they said this was false-they did not specify any treatment days.Took my daughter to another dentist who found 9.cavities.As you can imagine I was confused to go from none to 9 In a period of 2 mos.Iinsurance paid for "a ... read more

I have to agree with the reviewer who said they never had anyone wrench on their teeth so much during a regular exam and cleaning. Both times I went to Dr. Chang I felt like I came out a bloody mess compared to other dentists I have seen. She really isn't all that gentle. Also, both times she mentioned this need for a fairly costly device for my teeth. My previous dentist of 23 years never once mentioned a need for this type of device. I've never had someone wrench on my teeth so much during a simple cleaning/check-up. She whipped through my check-up, communicating hardly at all, and suggesting no additional work (normally, this would sound good, but as one prone to cavities I suspect this resulted mostly from laziness and a desire to quickly conclude the exam in order to get onto the next patient to make money off of). Seemed like a quick set-up shop too.

This dentist refused to give a simple cleaning without $5,000.00 of other procedures done first. 2 other dentists said there was no problem giving a cleaning, and claimed EVERYTHING she suggested was unnecesary. Overall, she was rude, and tried to bilk as much money as possible.
