About this business
The original version of this restaurant opened in the old Shamrock Hotel, which was a landmark to most Houstonians. Years later, it is in a different location but still serves up hot fried fish and seafood daily. This is an old school restaurant with many faithful customers. Fried seafood and steaks make up the bulk of the menu. It is not exactly health conscious eating, but most loyal patrons would not want them to change a thing. After you have had a bite or two you will probably agree.

Fill me up – I eat out almost 6 times a week with my job and I love coming to Christie's because it just feels like home. A family run restaurant that is not too common anymore. I love to get their sauteed crabmeat and big baked potato and a salad with their own ranch dressing. The service is so friendly and there is this girl,I think her name is Maria,has the best smile. Really makes every customer feel special. The Blackberry margaritas are perfect after work! Christie's is perfect.
Yummy Yummy Yummy – The service-So great i didnt like one thing i ordered and the waitress changed my order and did not charge me for the order i did not eat. The food-Awesome, fresh, I just didnt have a taste for the first thing i ordered, their po-boys are just delightful, delightful The Drinks-Ahhh the best margaritas ever, try the melon its to die for
It's worth it – I hear Roula and Ryan talking about it on the radio so me and my mom decided to go for lunch. What a refreshing lunch it was. I had a greek salad that was HUGE! and my mom had the famous fish sandwich also huge! I did not think restaurants still existed where the family actually runs it. I saw a tall young man that I assume is Roula's brother walking around to check the tables. A gem! – I love Christie's! Not only did I grow up with Christie's but now I always stop by Christie's whenever I am in the area just for those delicious FRIED SHRIMP and a loaded baked potato. Me and family have been eating at Christie's since the 60's and I can honestly say that whenever we have gone, we are never dissapointed! I think they have exceptional food and it is refreshing to eat somewhere that is not a chain. Especially good is the ranch dressing and that remolaude dressing!
Worst restaurant I have ever been in Houston!! – I was very disappointed at this restaurant. We had seafood, shrimps and fish and au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were awful. How difficult is to make potatoes?? The seafood was tasteless, we had to make use of ketchup and dressing. We saw another guest complaining, and the manager gave her a discount. We just left our food in the plate, and paid $40. Highly not recommended.
