We had an excellent experience at the Chop steakhouse in downtown Edmonton recently. Amazing service from Amal and Eric who truly went above and beyond to ensure my mother in law's visit to Canada and her birthday were truly memorable. The dessert with the Brazilian flag (given she travelled from Brazil) was the highlight of her meal. We were truly touched by their kindness and generosity and will absolutely dine at the downtown location again.
From South Florida, visiting our granddaughter who lives in Wainwright. Wanted to book a hotel close to the Ice District so we could take her to do things in Edmonton. We arrived very late the first night so the next morning we went to Chops for Breakfast. It was fantastic, large portions, food was great, service was great. The food was terrible. Prime rib was grey and rubbery like it was frozen and recooked. Steak was burnt on outside and very rare inside. Vegetables tasted old and dried out. Return your food if it is not good. They also brought the appetizer after our meals were delivered. You work hard for your money so don’t waste it on bad food. Wish I had taken pictures. We get together for dinner and theatre every six weeks for the past three years and unfortunately this was the most expensive but worst meal we have had.
