Good burger, great french fries, excellent chocolate malt! Clean and friendly service.
Finally made it to the Choo Choo. Definitely an overlooked Jem . I opted for the 1/2# mushroom and Swiss patty melt, on grilled rye. The flavor coming off a very well seasoned grill sealed in the flavor of my medium grilled patty. The fries were done to perfection. If you've passed by the little red building at Plainfield and Leonard you've missed something special. Take a moment to Say hi to Rick, Kathy, Annette and the rest of their friends while you're there, if they or one of the regulars like Ron don't beat you to it.
Perfect little diner scene with delicious food. Good prices with such friendly employees. Can't believe I haven't been here more.
They knew we were out-of-towners, so they made us wait little longer... But still great service and food! ,make sure you are super hungry when u get there.
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. Best burgers in Grand Rapids, easily! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The food is great. The ladies always remember you and Rick occasionally tells a good joke! I now live 12K miles away, but every time I come home to visit my family, the Choo Choo is part of that visit. I hope it never changes! I want Rick to be able to call my kids regulars as well. "Engineer's special (medium rare)with chili, and a root beer".
My favorite little 'almost' home town Greasy Spoon. Only way I can pass on their breakfast is to have no ability to pay the bill.
