I love this place! I always come here when I'm on Chippewa and the last couple years for my birthday! Its got a great atmosphere with a really cool drink menu, lots of chocolate options . The martinis are a little strong but still delish; get the birthday cake martini! It's got rainbow sprinkles all around the rim and it's so yummy! Stopped in today for a meal. Even though they had just opened when we arrived, our waitress was totally frazzled. The glass bottle of water brought to the table was really dirty on the outside. Brought me the wrong soup and then later very seriously told me that I couldn’t order an ice cream sundae for dessert because “there was no cook in the back who could make it”. I don’t understand why the staff couldn’t handle throwing some ice cream in a bowl...was pretty funny but totally disappointing.
Most of my food experiences in Buffalo were dissappointing. This one less so. I got chicken and shrimp Alfredo it was pretty good. Ordered soup for an appetizer, it never came. My friend ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap, it came without chicken. She said it was ok. Better than we had been having. The desserts were extremely dissappointing. I got a Snickers one she got a PB one both only took a few bites and threw away. She had to ask for ketchup 3x for fries. She got the add 3 shrimp side they were not good.
I love the yummy martinis. Chocolate fondue is divine.
We have been to the Chocolate Bar several times in the past. The food, atmosphere, drinks and service is always good. Last Sunday we were there as part of a birthday celebration weekend for my son-in-law. Lou our bartender took excellent care of us. Was very social and made us feel very special. Thanks Lou! We will be sure to stop in at the Chocolate Bar every time we are in Cleveland!
Never been but would like to go. Chocolate bar looks like they have good food and drinks add my to the raffle to win dinner for two
Sorry the reviews below may have been an off evening - this downtown establishment is our go to place for good eats. Service has always been very good and the food always top notch. Perhaps a better hostess is needed, but we have never had an issue with any problems, and we dine approximately once every 2 - 3 months. The food is creative, and fun. Desserts are were its all at - a treat to end a great evening - I say you guys do a great job. Thank you
