We had a rocky start to our dinner at China Grill. I saw the matred pocket \$50 and give our reserved table of 8 to another family. They didnt even apologize for it and we proceeded to wait another hour until they seated us.The food more than made up for it though. It was WONDERFUL! The dishes each had a unique twist to the traditional chinese dish. Id highly recommend the lamb spare ribs, wasabi mashed potatoes and the pork chops.

Just got back from south beach & ate there our first night . We had a party of 4, ordered the crispy spinach, crab cakes, asian ceasar salad, szechuan beef, seared tenderloin & drunken chicken & lobster mashed potatoes. The spinach was sandy, The ceasaer by far was the best salad I ever had, lobster mashed potatoes was divine however everything else lacked FLAVOR! The bill came to I think \$377.Our service wasnt that great either we felt rushed even though we were there on a Wednesday & the place was hardly busy(off season). Ha... read more

The food is really good, but its hard to call it chinese. Its overpriced, specially the appetizers. The server didnt help us the way it should be. Its a very nice place, with really fancy food and a poor service. You can have similar food paying less.

Lets just say that the only thing good about the place is atmosphere. If you are looking for good food...dont go! The sushi & sake were horrible! (the Ikura & sake were both the cheapest version - I am Japanese). Sizzling Fish was OK. Chocolate dessert was the PITS! Can I say "Am I eating a dessert from Dennys?" Imitation Cream, Imitation chocolate...UGh!

The China Grill is truely a unique setting. The bathrooms are very elegant and they are co-ed. The etire place is very beautiful. You may think its a little expensive, but what you come to realize is that each serving or portion is enough to feed 3 people. So knowing that if you want the best value coordinate what you and your party enjoy the most. The only critizm I have would have to be the service.

The best dining experience I have ever had on Miami Beach. The food was excellent, the bread literally melts in your mouth. While the entrees are not cheap, portions are large and may be shared with your party. Top notch service from a very professional and friendly staff. Not to mention the great atmosphere. All of this makes an enjoyable dining experience.
