For 100 years, the mission of Children's HealthSM has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

I love Children's. When my son was going through his chemo journey and for every MRI he'd ask for a hot wheel and lift his shirt (for port access). After his port was removed and he needed IV access he'd ask if he'd get the "pssshhh" (numbing medicine). He also was calmer watching them access rather than looking at a book/movie. What kiddo does this? No screaming or crying. I think this a HUGE testament to the staff. Oh, and Sharon, the phlebotomist for neuro/onc...LOVE HER!
