The emergency room was awful. They got her back pretty quick (1 1/2 hours) but that was the best part. The nurses were just rude. Our first encounter with a nurse, she said “why are you here.” RN had a very flat affect. They started an iv and my child got cold, I asked for a blanket. The nurse said “no, but I will get you a hot pack.” 45 mins later, we got a disposable heat pack. Time passes and my child’s pain grows, I ask for meds for pain 1.5 hours later the pain med arrived. For the record, Medical City of McKinney is a great hospital. They took 35% off my bill just because we had 2 emergency's in one week. On the other hand, Children's Hospital in Plano wouldn't work with me and when I visited the ER there the service was soooooooo subpar and bad - I walked out!!! NEVER TO RETURN. Medical City McKinney will always have my business (as long as I'm still living in Texas). So, there's that!!!
