The ER staff was ridiculously rude. What started with a nurse practitioner at their urgent care, turned into a horrible experience in the ER. We stayed two nights....they could also use a lesson in cleanliness. There was sticky spots in the room floor and were pointed out but never cleaned up. My favorite part was probably being told one thing in the ER and a completely different thing upstairs. Nothing like ethics and lying. And finally billing.... We were sent to Children’s Medical Center to an orthopedist for a simple fracture that needed casted. First of all it did not make any sense why the cast could not have been placed by the pediatrician with Children’s in Plattsmouth. Secondly we got billed for a procedure that was not even performed. When we tried to fight it I was informed that it was coded and billed correctly according to the physician’s notes. It was basically our word against theirs. Nothing we could do.
