We saw a nurse practitioner last week. While she was knowledgeable and kind, I would like to express my concern about the wait time for this appointment. I, as a physician, contacted CHLA dermatology to assist my patient, but they declined to speak with me. This reflects poorly on their professional courtesy.
Call center after hours was very unprofessional. They couldn't help in recommending a good children's hospital ER, or directing me to someone who could.
I went to this hospital with my son for a second medical opinion. After a lot of difficulty in getting a date for the appointment, we were seen by a nurse. I don't want to belittle her work, but I had questions regarding a possible surgical intervention. I requested a doctor at the time of consultation. No respect for the patient or client.
