My experience at Children's Dental care was great. The atmosphere was great for the kids and the staff was very detailed and friendly.
I took both of my children for their first appointment today. My daughter just turned 4 and is extremely nervous and shy in new places and people. They were so great with her. They took her to a different room while I stayed in the other with my son who is 2. When they were done with my son we were getting his picture taken for the no cavities board and they opened the door and she was laughing. She was so excited about being a big girl. Thank you so much to the staff for being so genuine with the kids!
Katie did an awesome job!!! She was really nice!
Katie, the dental hygienist, was very friendly and knowledgable. You could tell our daughter, who is 15 months, was a little scared and apprehensive. Katie was cheerful and helped make our daughter feel at ease. Dr. Mathews gave us age appropriate information and helped us know what to expect with the teething process. He was very gentle towards our daughter. She received excellent care and we will be back!
You guys are awesome!! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mike and the staff. We live in Knoxville, but it's worth the 50 minute drive. Thank you for teaching my little girl that the Dentist is NOT a scary place and being so encouraging and gentle with her.
We live an hour away from Dr. Matthews, but I wanted my son to have a positive attitude about going to the dentist, and it is so worth it. We have have to have unruly teeth pulled (4 at once!), and numerous consultations on various other issues, and Dr. Matthews and his staff are always incredibly upbeat, informative and helpful, and do a good job of trying to keep the appointment times running as close to schedule as possible. I have been taking my kids to Dr. Mathews for 14 years. The first time my son saw him he was still in Iowa city. He is very knowledgeable and always answers all of my questions.
