I believe Dr. Boyd is at least as "good" as any other pediatrician I have known. Meaning competent, professional, caring and nice. And perhaps better, taking the time to make the best possible diagnosis. Once, rather then prescribe "pills" for an upset stomach she asked many questions. Finally asking if my son had — who was on "pills" for something that requires them — was eating breakfast. Found he was not, and taking medication on an empty stomach. Friendly And pronto..have been great thus far
Dr. Boyd is a pill pusher. If you do not want your child on a plethora of medications, I would strongly suggest finding another Dr. I've never met a D.O. who was so prescription happy. If you want a Dr. who is open to alternative and homeopathic remedies you will have to look elsewhere. After having several severe and adverse reactions to prescribed ADD/ADHD medication, she essentially called my friend's son a liar and proceeded to prescribe him MORE medication to help his ADD medication work more effectively.
