I had the unfortunate experience of seeing Chika Okonkwo , and I can honestly say it was one of the most upsetting and damaging encouters I've ever had with a mental health professional. I had an extremely negative experience with Chika Okinawa, a mental health nurse practitioner. From the very beginning, she was incredibly rude and condescending, making me feel more like I was being judged than helped. Her demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive, and it was very clear she wasn’t taking my concerns seriously. Chika is really down to earth. Me and my daughter see her and I have no problems with her..My medications are always sent to the pharmacy before I even leave.
Worst psychiatry "professional" I have ever encountered. Does not care about her patients at all, and does not respond for weeks if you call about a problem with your medication. Does not work on Thursday or Friday, or respond to urgent messages from patients. Do not seek treatment from this person, she will screw up your prescriptions or hold your meds hostage.
shocked she still has a license to practice. clearly in it for the paycheck, treats her patients like an inconvenience. save yourself the headache and seek out a real provider, don't waste your time with this one.
