Best staff, most beautiful and peaceful place in Montana!!!
We have been dining at Chico for over 30 years during our summer vacation in Cooke City. The service, food and drinks have always been exceptional making it one of my all time favorite restaurants. Until this summer. There were 6 of us there for dinner. Everyone of us were disappointed in our dinners and drinks. From cold food to over cooked steaks and dry halibut. The mixed drinks and martinis were sub par. I was so sad when we left. Needless to say we won't be back unless something drastically changes.
A great experience, the room was great, we stayed in a room with bathroom in room. Room was hot but there was a fan so that helped a lot. The fun in the restaurant was great, we had supper the prime rib almost melted in your mouth. The desserts were to die for. We had there breakfast buffet which was excellent, lots of choices. Awesome experience!
As day visitors we were looking for a place to relax a bit. The pool area needs a lot more lounge chairs and fewer table set ups. We heard other guests comment about the lack of seating. It got very busy with a lot of families which made enjoying the water a bit difficult. Maybe some adults only hours/breaks so one isn't dodging the pool games or constant splashing? The pool deck can be VERY slippery which was difficult for some elderly guests and the locker rooms could use some updating.
The most amazing dinner ever. Rivals 5 star restaurants in any major city. Friendly professional staff. Wish there was a 10 star option. Highly recommend
