After years of neglect, Midway is finally getting the attention it needs and deserves. As Chicago's second, it is usually cheaper to fly out of than O'Hare International. You may be surprised at how small and easily navigable it is. Some fine it a welcome respite from the confusion of O'Hare. It is also easily accessible from the Loop via the Orange Midway El line. Leave plenty of time though. The train stops a goof half mile from the terminal. You then have to take a lengthy walkway to get inside and it does take some time.... read more

Renovated and clean, spacious and fast security process. Preferred airport when flying in and out of Chicago.
Small airport very efficient if you have clear and pre check. Lots of food options.

My second favorite airport in the US for final approach. You get so close to the houses!
Midway is the airport most actual Chicagoans prefer.
