This long-vacant Venetian Gothic landmark on Michigan Avenue springs back to life as a hotel and mecca for inspired recreation. I worked on the renovation of this building back in 2007. It's back at the top of places to visit in Chicago!
An exceptionally beautiful hotel with excellent customer service, fabulous restaurants, and great location! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved staying here. I wish we stayed here longer. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the toiletries were top notch Bigelow products—they were like an added treat to an already perfect hotel. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We’re already looking forward to a future stay!
Everything about this unique hotel is absolutely fabulous! If you appreciate originality, the preservation of history and timeless architecture, you will be in awe of CAA! There are so many options within the hotel; from bocce ball, shuffleboard, billiards, checkers, a library, and cozy fireplaces on a brisk day. There are multiple restaurants serving amazing food including the Shake Schack where you can get old fashioned burgers, fries and ice cream!! Can’t say enough good stuff... I highly recommend checking in Royal Tenenbaum style, stay forever but do pay your bill... I’d like to personally call out Xochitl @ the front desk, Trevell, & Aaron who made my (& my dog Bowie’s) stay absolutely legendary. Can’t forget Johnnie, Matt, & Judah @ Cindy’s... the cast of characters here is a long one!
