I have been getting my nails done for 12 years. I usually go to another nail salon in Waukee but had a gift card to Chic so decided to try it out. The person who did my nails was very under skilled. She should NOT being doing acrylics. First off, I asked for almond in which she cut them to short to do so. So we had to change the plan I went with square. Man, it just kept getting worse. Pedicures were good. Dip + tips a nightmare. Tech is mature but seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing. Colors & design do not match the pic I came in with. She would have corrected the design, I’m sure, but I had been there 2.5 hrs already & was extremely irritated. Nails misshapen, bumpy, very thick, paint & top coat all over my fingers. Felt rushed the entire time. Some nails are not fully coated, like I get I have very short nails, but if I knew this what I would have gotten; I would have done it at home. The nail design even looks rushed and uneven, didn’t even try to clean it up. She also forgot that we were going do a design on the ring finger, had to tell her after putting my nail under the UV lamp thing for a second. Paid almost $50 for these to look I did them myself.

My friend and I went last week on a Tuesday. We booked appointments. She was helped right away but then was quickly left after because the lady wasn’t able to do almond shaped nails so someone else had to come over and redo them. I waited over 30 minutes to be helped and to have my old nails removed. Even though we had booked appointments. My friend and I were both satisfied with how our nails looked after 2 and a half hours but it hasn't even been two weeks and both of our nails are breaking.
