Did this provider's staff seem to respect him/her? Yes, I could tell the staff respected him/her Did this pediatrician have toys, magazines or TV's in the waiting room? They didn't have much If you didn't want certain vaccines for your child, did the pediatrician respect your decision? Yes, they respected my decision

Did the pediatrician ever make you feel uncomfortable or stupid for asking for additional details? Not at all. They were happy to give me as much information as I wanted

Dr. Chiarello is a wonderful doctor. My 7 year old son is very comfortable with him because Dr. Chiarello speaks directly to him and informs him about what he is doing and why. My 1 year old daughter also loves Dr. Chiarello. Since her first visits as a young infant, he has always been able to get a smile from her and now makes her laugh. The office staff isn't so much 'rude' as 'not overly nice.' I have had to call them out on not greeting me when I arrive even though various people were milling about the office area and looking directly at me. When you do have their attention they are okay. It seems like the staff has been there a very long time and could maybe use a refresher course on customer service. The waiting room is pretty shabby. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. When I told them that I wanted to get a second opinion, they didn't get upset at all. Their reaction gave me even more confidence that they had my child's best interest at heart. I spend a little too much time in the waiting room. I've waited longer at other offices, but I was hoping to be seen sooner.
