I went in to see Betsy Saunders, for intense abdominal pain, on Thursday. She didn’t know what was wrong, so she blindly prescribed antibiotics. A few hours later my tests came back showing no signs of infection. she sent a message through the patient portal saying not to take the antibiotics and THAT’S IT. I replied through the portal right away, and called the office and spoke to a nurse, requesting a call back. It is now Tuesday and no one has reached out. So glad I moved and never have to deal with this hospital ever again. The APRNs and receptionists in family medicine are usually pretty great (though they don’t necessarily talk to each other), and the people working at the bloodwork area are lovely. Everything else about this place sucks and is beyond disorganized. Avoid if you can. I love the rest of the DHMC system, because all my doctors in Lebanon NH are absolutely amazing, but Cheshire is a complete mess. I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for the Emergency Room nursing staff. I arrived in need of assistance and promptly received it. The ER was very busy the entire night, but my needs were continually met with compassion and kindness. Thank you
