Best Salmon Dish in town! – Chenery Park is up there and very yummy. When I want comfort food I get their salmon dish with tatsoi- it is OUTSTANDING. I love salmon and have had it all over the city in top restaurants but their preparation is still my favorite! Yes, some of their entrees are mediocre (yet tasty) but others are wonderful and worth coming back for! NOTHING BETTER IN USA – THIS KITCHEN EXCELLS WITH THEIR SAUCES. THE FLAVORS ARE GREAT. NOTHING LIKE IT IN THE CITY.
ho hum – * food was not imaginative or even well executed * food boring, not ultra fresh or local * an owner was dining near me complete with screaming child - like this is ok? Not . . . * wait staff tries, sort of, to be efficient
very lovely – the food is good, the service unpretentious, and the owners and staff seem to enjoy themselves. the decor is very stylish and surprising for Glen Park. it's cozy, as well.
My fourth visit – I just had my fourth dinner last weekend and it was terrific. We like to eat early so no problem getting a table. The restaurant is attractive, the food is very good, the staff is friendly and helpful and the price is within reason. I had a delicious crawfish bisque, club steak (don't know why as I am not usually a steak eater) and a wonderful strawberry/lemon "parfait" which was more like a trifle. The pommes frits were excellent. A great place to eat.
no need to go to Glen Park – We thought it would be nice to check out Glen Park and have dinner at Chenery Park. I should of stayed in Noe Valley. We had a reservation for 7:30. I think we were seated around 8:00. I don't mind waiting, but there wasn't any place to wait. The "bar" area was already packed. The host was friendly. The wait staff was snotty and not too talented. The food was good, not great. Pricey to say the least. You can go to Chow and get better food for half the price.
