Decent bar food, horrible service – Great for a snack, but not a destination spot, by any means. I can't tell you the number of times I've sat at a table with an empty soda glass sitting on the edge of the table, just waiting for a refill, while the servers stand around in the wait station, twisting their hair with their fingers and giggling at the latest perceived dramas in their lives. Chelios should stick to hockey – This place has the WORST service ever! The food is not even good either. After many chances I've given up on this place. Take your business somewhere else.
so so food, attitude from staff – We were very excited to eat at Cheli's during a Red wing playoff game. We came from Canada and decided to spend the whole weekend in Dearborn. We were not impressed by the staff at Cheli's. It felt like we were annoying them by being there. Very rude and insulting – My wife and I were attending a cousin's 30th birthday party. One of the places that she wanted to stop at was Chelis, to see what it was like. We followed the directions we were given and found thier parking lot. When my wife pulled up to the valet they started screaming at her like she was a dog. It's now a great place to eat also – For the first few years, this Cheli's had below average food but great atmosphere and great night life. In the last 2 years Cheli's has really bumped there food up a few notches. Especially since they added there brick oven pizza. I recommend the the wings, pizza, and Nachos. The Pizza is similar to a California Pizza Kitchen. bad customer service!!! – Went with a group took 25min to get drinks, had to beg to get silverware, couldn't believe they charged extra for wings to be hot! nachos were horrible 1/2 cup of cheese on a pound of broken chips. Couldn't get a itemized bill and when we complained the wait staff stood at the bar talking about us and giving dirty looks. never had such a bad experience!!!
Don't waste your time or money-bad experiences!!! – My husband and I had went out for dinner at your restaurnt We had ordered the wings, and when we finally got them (about 25 minutes after ordering and the place wasn't even croweded!) they were very scrawny looking, and way over cooked. Place is amazing!!! – So I decided to stop in the new Cheils Chili Bar of Clinton Twp. and it was awesome. The jerseys on the walls, the scoreboard in the middle of the bar, pool, air hockey, a hunting game, and you can even work on your jumpshot with the basketball game. Good Food, The New Place To Be! – The new Chelis on 18 & Hayes is the new place to be. From the awesome pizza sticks appetizer to the famous chili, i was greatly pleased. Our waiter was kind and treated my family like we were his own, the manager made my child laugh, and the building itself had a very nice clean safe enviroment. I went back during a Red Wings game and the place was packed, that was the only let down. It took 20 minutes to get a seat but the wait was worth it. I recommend you go here during a game.
