It's tough to find a restaurant that cheerfully accommodates my gluten and dairy intolerance, and being from out of town makes it more difficult. The Alaskan halibut served on a bed of fried spinach was fabulous. Thank you, Cheever's! Will come again on my next business trip! ♡
Husband and I had the Chicken Fry with the jalapeño gravy and rounded it out with the carrot cake. PHENOMENAL....The staff was wonderful and the food divine. Can't wait to come again!
The seafood sweet potato tamales might be the best meal I've ever had. Amazing. Great repurposing if an OKC landmark.

I made a reservation for a birthday lunch for two. My Dad ended up being able to come last minute before we had to fly out of town. I called before and asked if we could pull up an extra chair for him at the same table since he would only be there for a little bit. The woman on the phone laughed at me and said, "No..." I got to the restaurant and was told they were busy and couldn't do anything. The staff was extremely rude to me and I will NEVER be returning. Not the best birthday...thanks Cheever's.
The brunch, lunch and dinner menus and specials are superb. My favorites have been: Bleu Cheese Potato Chips, Sharolynn's Salad with grilled chicken, and the Tortilla Crusted Alaskan Halibut. You must get the Pecan Ball ice cream after any meal- I don't particularly like pecans or ice cream but that dessert is out of this world. The service is impeccable, I recommend reservations as their waiting area and bar are not large.

Today was my first time at cheevers, with my sister Carla who has been there before, the food was awesome and prepared beautifully, I had the shrimp an grits.Our waitress brandy was awesome, all in all it was a really good experience.
Four star rating for the food alone. I had the jalapeno gravy chicken fried steak, and it was amazing. Service was slow and the restaurant is very crowded and small. That means it's good. Call ahead for reservations and don't go if you're in any hurry.
