I ordered the Loco dish and the chichen was tough. I had to dig under the sauce to get anything edible. I would've told the waiter but he never came back and ask how things were or to check on us. My husband had to catch him for anything we needed & the waitress at the next table helped some. We told the cashier when we paid our bill but I got the feeling she wouldn't tell anyone and didn't care. It's sad because it's usually good food.
My husband and I stopped for dinner yesterday evening. Ordered fajita salads. The chips were dark brown and over cooked. The salsa taste like tomato sauce with a little cilantro. The salad bowls were cooked dark and the frying oil tasted old. Never brought us a check. Went to pay, no one asked how our food was. My husband left his meal and I picked the chicken out of mine. The cashier didn't give me all my money back. She kept the change. We won't be going back.
Terrible service . Asked 3 times for tortillas that came with meal-never received . Co-worker ordered dessert and never got .
It pains me to leave this review, but it seems like my only option at this point. For the past two years my family and I have visited every Monday or Wednesday. The service and food were the best in Muskogee for the first year and a half. The last half year has been a steady decline to only mediocre. We love the food here and the house margaritas are very good and the prices are amazing! The only drawback, which is also somewhat endearing, is the language barrier. Very authentic Mexican food but they could use some help making all of the “specialty” margaritas. We ordered the Cadillac with Patron and 2 other kinds of tequila with a splash of citrus but when we got it, it was purple from some very sweet berry juice. Sent them back so stay with the “house” and you’ll be fine!
Chavas is a great restaurant . Good food good service. Great management. Best mexican food in muskogee and surrounding area. I will be back!
We eat there every chance we get. And that's often. Never have received unsatisfactory food or service. Always a good choice when we go. Excellent food and great service.
