We just arrived at this hotel and I am so disappointed. The lobby is lovely but the rooms are awful. The bath tub is so dirty I'm sure bleach wouldn't even clean it, the sheets are thin and the blanket looks like it hasn't been washed in a year...as I sat to write this I noticed ants crawling on the desk/dresser...if we had arrived earlier than this evening I would have left but it is too late to find another hotel. I can only hope that there isn't bed bugs... the whole place needs a renovation.

My wife and I stayed in one of the railroad cars on our wedding night. It was very nice and everything was what we expected. The railroad car was larger than you might think, and was very private and intimate. We could imagine what it would have been like to be traveling in one for a night.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay more than we anticipated. Knowing that we came to a hotel that would not be at a 5 star hotel. But we wanted to stay in one of the train cars. The reception building is the original 1900 station with huge arch windows, beautiful ceiling and a dome glass ceiling at the peak of the room. They had huge spectacular Christmas tree. There was a classical side bar that was charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were many more train cars then we thought. They had a ice-skating ring, lar... read more

Upon arriving this evening for a small wedding ceremony we discovered there was a HUGE anime convention going on. Being at the point of tears my husband took off to the main office to see if there was anything we could do. This is when we met the amazing Joanna. She came out with a plan and all the people she needed to implement it. She roped off an area for us and it was everything I wanted and then more. My husband went back in to take her a piece of cake (the least we could do for all her amazing help) and she then gave u... read more

This property is breath-taking. From the moment you step into the lobby you're going to be impressed by the old school grandeur of this train station turned hotel. Just look at that lobby ceiling, so high and beautiful! Check out that lobby bathroom with its classic tiled look.

We stayed this past weekend for our daughters birthday. We stayed in a train car room which was really cool. If you are looking for a luxury room this is not for you. It was very clean and comfortable but you're basically paying for the novelty. Remember you are staying in a very old train car transformed into a small room. Go easy on the AC as it blows directly at the bed and you could easily freeze all night if you're not careful. The hotel itself was amazing though. Stunning lobby!!! Even the main restrooms were beautiful... read more

I was Leary of staying here based off reviews. We purchased a great deal through groupon. 2 queens room. Request the MacArthur building its the one with the indoor pool. It's newly renovated rooms and the closest to the lobby and gardens. Nice beds , clean. Easy parking. Sliding glass door but it had an safety bar attached. The train car rooms seemed in the middle of complex with a lot of people walking by at all times so no privacy w those type. The lobby was beautiful. Nice gift shops on site. The gardens had some fountain... read more

Although, it did not look great from the outside, we were very impressed with the overall room. The room was large and had a view of the pool. Bed was comfortable. Overall stay was great!
