BEWARE-FOOD POISONING at CHART HOUSE!!! On July 26, 2011 my 2 daughters and I went to the Chart House-Tahoe for my birthday dinner. I hadn't seen them for several days so there are no other common factors at play here. One daughter ate only what she ordered and was fine. The other daughter and I shared a shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushrooms(with crab), scallops, and key lime pie. Best View in Town! – Good service, good food, GREAT VIEW! A tad on the spendy side but this is where the birthday girl wanted to go. Food and drinks were good but nothing outstanding. If we go again, we'll probably just sit in the bar to enjoy the view.
Amazing! – I absolutely love this place. . The seafood is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the view is nice.The only bad thing about it is that It's EXPENSIVE. I would only go here for special occasions. Other than that, this is a great restaurant and I would definetely reccommend it.
Amazing Service – I have to say it was hard to go there after reading all this negative reviews. Worst Night Ever! – What a terrible experience. Met some co-workers for a Christmas dinner. Service was slow, first bottle of wine was over-priced and corked! Food came out late and they forgot one person's meal, we all had to wait. Then to top it off - the valet attendant didn't lock our car doors and several items were stolen. Chart House corporate (Emily R.) was extremely rude, basically calling me a liar about the incident. We even had a police report and everything. Great Seafood, Slow Service Sometimes... – We stop by this restaurant for seafood probably once a month. Our favorite appetizers are the crab cakes, fried calamari and baked salmon salad. It's not as bad as the reviews say, but I would have to say the service is a little slow at times.
good food but extremely pricey – I have been to Chart House a couple of times, but only once to the one in Newport Beach. The food was good just like the others. But the price was expensive just like the others. If I was filthy rich, I would eat here more often, but my pockets are just not that deep. Service was average because it took a while before we got to order. Then we couldn't find our waiter for a while. But usually service is good at Chart House.
Great Location... Little Else – My first visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. I had gotten the feeling that its water front location might be its strength... and this visit confirms it. For the price it's not a good value. I found the waitress service to be very inconsistent (attentive to only some table members); the drinks to be over priced; and the salad bar to be less than spectacular. Bad experience.. I was hoping for a nice Christmas Eve – We came to Chart House on Christmas Eve with a party of 6; we had reservations for 8:00 PM. We arrived at 7:45.. We were told the wait would be about 15-20 minutes since they were behind... Granted it was Christmas eve and packed. We finally got seated at 9:30!!!!!!!!
