I've been going to Cat Care since about 1990 and I love it there! Cats aren't always the easiest things to diagnose but Dr. Mahanes and her staff are very knowledgeable and caring. I still see them even though I've moved and live 30 minutes away.
I adopted a starving stray kitty a few years ago who I named Wildcat since I thought he was a feral cat at first. Well I fell in love with him and he's now an indoor only cat. He's probably the sweetest kitty I have ever known. From my first visit I knew we had found the right vet. He receives the best care anyone could ask for, and everyone there is so kind and compassionate. Thanks so much for keeping this little fella healthy. I give them my highest recommendation.
My cats have been healthy and well cared for here since they were tiny kittens (12 years now) and friends and family members all have taken their cats here. Even my daughter-in-law's cat Harry was treated quickly and lovingly when he had an asthma attack while I was cat-sitting him. My cats have also boarded there. I think the fees are reasonable for the high quality of care, and the genuine affection the whole staff has for the cats is free!
Charlottesville Cat Care is a haven of wonderfully, skilled, dedicated individuals who are professional and loving and Charlottesville area is lucky to have them.
I have been bringing our two cats, Darth Vader and Snowy, to Cat Care for 16 years. I can't say enough about how wonderful this practice is. Dr Mahanes (and Dr Anderson when she was there) are so professional and knowledgable. Shawn is a super vet tech. They all treat my kitties with such care and kindness. They listen to my concerns and offer options for care. They are trustworthy and follow through with details.
