So-so food My husband and I went to Charlie Palmer Steak House for our anniversary because we had read good reviews about it. We actually did not like our steaks at all. In fact, they might be the least enjoyable steaks that I have ever had. The desserts tasted good but didn't make up for the rest of the food tasting so-so. Steakhouse With Great Non-Steak Dishes – I'll confess that I've never had steak at Charlie Palmer's - I have had a salad with steak in it but never an actual piece of steak. And that's ok; the few dishes I have had at CP's were excellent. I'm a fan of their $25 pre fixe lunch, since the high-caliber quality of dishes here extends beyond $25 a pop. A for atmostphere, B for food This place came highly recommended. I loved the dark woods used in the decor and the fact that my booth really seemed private. There are various paintings on the walls and I didn't know if they had come from someone's home because the only common theme was that they were all nice. Now down to the food. It was expensive and tasted good. I would recommend this place to someone visiting the DC area for the first time and I would return my self.
good crab cakes Charlie Palmer was expensive but the service was great! I had crab cakes and shared french fries with my sister who had the sirloin salad. I would recommend.
