Had an anterior hip replacement. Amazed that I was able to go home the same day as surgery and that the incision is just a tad over 3 inches long. Since the day of surgery, I have been totally independent in all activities. Now I am walking multiple miles daily and working on full range of motion and increasing strength. Dr Hanby done my knee surgery on Sept 8th. 3:00 pm. I was up walking at 9:00 that evening. My knee feels great with zero pain. I hope to get my left knee fixed ASAP. Thanks Dr Hanby you do great work.
He did a wonderful job on my hip replacement. The only complaints I have is why make one leg longer then the other? Now I'm having pain in my knees. Now I'm going to have to end up having knee surgery over this. ?? if only they just left the length along I wouldn't be having problems today with my knees .I'm only 45 this is awful cant exercise,go walking,hard to work being on my feet all day. Anyone out there getting ready for hip surgery tell them to leave the length alone on the hip its awful
I just had total knee replacement on Nov.1 and would like to schedule my right knee as soon as possible. I have been procrastinating for fear of pain, but really after the first week you can feel your knee getting better everyday. Dr Hanby is easy to talk to as well as his assistants. The main thing is to listen to what he tells you and you will do well. Wish everyone Happy Holidays.
Dr. Hanby performed one knee replacement in Dec 2015 and the other one in May 2016. I have went from my family wanting to push me in a wheelchair because they could not bear to see the pain I was in trying to walk to going on 3 mile hikes and working out on an elipitical for 30 minutes every day with absolutely NO pain! There are no words that can describe my life now! His staff, Dana and Robert, are amazing as well...very caring and always there for you. You could not be in better hands!
