Dr. Geneslaw is not mildly arrogant is VERY arrogant, usually in the room for 2 to 4 minutes, once your daughter is 16 he feels you dont need to be in the room with him at first so he can ask them questions that they may not tell you, then you go in, sorry I agreed to it and sat there thinking how I didnt agree, changed doctors and very happy.
As stated, he has a crude bedside manner which I ignored at first. He always prescribed anti-biotics to my daughter though but would ignore my questions to rush back to other patients waiting. I felt like I was not worth his time towards the end because during a well check up he rushed me out in less than 10 minutes, without even giving my daughter her shots needed for that visit. I was later told this was typical by other former patients.
I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Geneslaw for the past 20 years. I have a child that is handicapped and I choose not to take her to anyone else. I am glad that Dr. Geneslaw is willing to continue on as her doctor. He is the BEST...
As some other reviewers mentioned, Dr. Geneslaw is not the warm and fuzzy type. He gets straight down to business and is always 100% honest. If you're looking for a pediatrician to hold YOUR hand and tell you everything is just peachy, don't see him. But, if you are looking for an excellent pediatrician who is punctual and efficient this is the doctor for you. Beware - he does not like to prescribe antibiotics. Give this Doc a chance. He is "mildly" arrogant but what do you expect from the best. He RUNS his own office. My daughters 3yrs and 3mo. love him! He's not there to hold MY hand. He takes the BEST care of my girls without a doubt. Wouldn't change a thing unless he retires.
My son was sent to the emergency room because they missed piloric stenosis on his ultra-sound. Dr Geneslaw was the attending pediatrician, he knew immediatly what it was.
Doesn't believe that kids get sinus infections. My daughter had a "cold" for 3-4 weeks with fevers on and off. After 2 visits and multi calls I went to another Dr. My daughter was diagnosed with a sinus infection and after 2 doses of antibiotics she finally had a clear nose and the fevers disappeared. Also, my daughter who was only about 14 mos. at the time was crying so he couldn't hear her chest to tell whether she had any bronchial symptoms. My new Dr. rolled his eyes when he heard that.
Best Pediatrician, Fast and never hesitates to tell the truth 100% of the time, he wont waste your time and his answers are always right KIDS LOVE HIM! Gentle on kids yet straight forward to Parents Give him a chance! TRUST ME
