Dr Genelsaw and his staff have made an amazing impact on our families life. He is always available for us, never treats us as a burden or anything but important. They see us always, pick up the phone promptly and are always available 24/7. The more kids I have the more I realize how lucky we truly are to have not only an amazing physician in our lives, but he and all of the staff are truly amazing people.
Dr. Geneslaw is an excellent pediatrician. He is probably responsible for saving my depressed teens life. I knew there was something wrong and brought the teen there for drug testing. I requested the teen not be told and Doctor said he refused to test that way. He impressed soon me how important it was for my teen to trust the doctor. With a private consultation my teen admitted to being depressed, not sleeping well and constantly thinking of suicide. Very knowledgeable but arrogant. Dr. Geneslaw is good with the little kids but does NOT know how to talk to tennagers. He talks to parents about their kids in front of them. I have been taking my kids to him b/c he is thorough and keeps up to date with current medicine, not for is communication skills.
My husband and I are very happy with Dr. Geneslaw and would highly recommend him. Two years ago we became new parents. We had and still have a lot of questions when it comes to our sons health and Dr. Geneslaw has always been very accomodating. He is very knowledgeable and provides thorough explanations. Sometimes he can be in a hurry becasue he is busy, but if you tell him you have questions he will stop and give you the time you need. We have been taking our kids to Dr. Geneslaw since our first was born, about 5 years. I can say as an RN, he is a very knowledgeable doctor. He keeps up on current medicine, and address concerns. He will explain why he makes the decisions he makes. He is extremely attuned to detail and I trust him 100% not to dismiss something important or overlook anything. He is not rude, but he is firm. If you are looking for a doctor who is arrogant, uncaring, talks over you, quick to make judgments and label your child..you found him!! Do yourself and your child a favor.. look for someone else!
I have used this doctor for 19 years with my three daughters. He is the best. My girls love him and the oldest at 23 with disappointed when she needed to switch to an adult doctor. I trust him 100 percent. He will go to bat and fight with the insurance company to make sure you get the best specialists and treatments for your child.
I personally went to Dr. G as a patient, until I had to start going to an adult Dr. but even though I was no longer his patient when I ended up having to have my appendix out he came and checked up on me and got me my own room at Community Medical Center. I now have a 15 month old and am expecting again and I wouldn't send them to anyone else. Hes not precription happy and believes in letting your kid strengthen its own immune system, which is why its there.
I'm 23 now but I went to Geneslaw from the time I was born, as did both of my sisters (now in their late 20s). He diagnosed my asthma, and has been extremely helpful with my allergies and other issues over the years. He is 100 % honest with you but if your looking for a doctor to hold your hand as a parent, he might not be the one for you. He is great overall though. Never a problem.
