WONDERFUL experience!! – The Chancellor Hotel is a great place to stay. The location is wonderful..One tip..DO NOT attempt to catch the cable car in front of the hotel..we waited for an hour..walk to the end of the street & wait in line. The room service was very quick (awesome coffee by the way). The rooms are charming with a HUGE bathtub (rubber duckie included). The elevator is a bit scary, rather small. Thrifty chic – The best part of the Chancellor Hotel is the location, location, location! Unlike many hotels that are "Union Square" the Chancellor really is right in the heart of things. Despite the hubbub of Union Square and the cable car right outside the door, our room was cozy, quiet, clean (albeit small- but what rooms in San Francisco aren't?) The service was quite personable, the cookies and coffee in the lobby appreciated and the little extras like the rubber duckie in the bath were great!
