Champa Thai and Sushi's cuisine reflects our home province in Northern Thailand. It's different than other parts of Thailand because of our shared borders with the countries of Laos and Myanmar. The cuisine of this region shows heavy influences from each of these bordering nations. This adds a variety that makes our specialty dishes unique.

Unbelievably rude staff!! – I find the service and attitude of this restaurant to be so appalling that it needs mentioning. This weekend was our last visit to Champa. The service here is so consistently missing-in-action that it is shocking. Poor service is one thing VIRTUALLY NONEXISTING and BELLIGERENT service is another. Some of the items of concern include: No acknowledgement of customers entering the restaurant Presence of wait staff is extremely inconsistent Excessive time to get your food Incredibly rude attitude of t... read more
Okay food, bad service – The service here is very poor. We waited over 25 minutes for our sushi to arrive and when it came, the order was wrong. The waitress acted like it was our fault and was unpleasant for the rest of our meal. The sushi was average and overpriced. Even though this is the closest sushi restaurant to my house, I'll be driving the extra distance to avoid this place.
Check the temperature gauge... – Warm sushi is not my thing... At least chill the plates or do something that tells me you're trying.. Unimpressive, unoriginal and overpriced. Typical Brier Creek.
Bill came to TWICE what I expected !! – Went in to order two sushi rolls with my wife, a bowl of miso soup and hot tea each. The bill came to $26. Yes you read that correctly - 26 dollars for two sushi rolls! After looking at the bill - we were charged $3 each for a bowl of miso soup (usually free or a buck or so), and $4 for tea.. EACH (huh??). Eight dollars for two cups of tea. Worst off - neither of these (tea or soup) were listed on the menu with prices, we simply asked for them, and were never warned of the outrageous p... read more
ohyeah – How about we finally find some good food in Ral.We sat @ the bar on Fri.nite & had sushi, it was awsome sweet dragon was nice & hot and my sashimi was artfully done. We also ate Thai that nite, we had drunken noodle & soft shell crab nice & spiced. They also had this drink special Saketinni goo>>>d.Man it was perfect not to old style decor not bad, but they kept there food old style. You have to try their food and their sushi. We also had a chic roll our sushi. How cool is that.
A Gem! – Champa is my favorite Thai restaurant! It's rather inexpensive and its food quality is unsurpassed as compared to the food I've had at other local Thai places. In fact, my wife and I also think Champa has THE BEST SUSHI of any place we've been in the Triangle area!!! I can't say enough good things about Champa...it truly is a unique gem amid the monotonous suburban sprawl of chain restaurants. If you like Thai food, or sushi, Champa is a must try!!! Their Pad Thai is amazing too! The ambience wont leave you speechle... read more
Great Food, a little expensive – I've had two kinds of Thai noodles here Pad See U and Pad Thai and both were excellent. They were not spicy enough for me, but that can be fixed by requesting them to add more pepper. The service was EXCELLENT. Very fast, curteous and helpful. The atmosphere could benefit from a little less light and more seclusion. The prices were a bit high too, but the food was great. In general, I would highly reccomend this restaurant for really good Thai food.
North Raleigh taps into the Thai craze with this chic eatery. – In Short Located in the Brier Creek Commons, this Asian-inspired restaurant's atmosphere is upscale and elegant with an intimate gray and yellow-hued dining room. Champa serves gourmet versions of spicy Thai soups, grilled seafood, sushi and classic noodle dishes such as pad thai to local office workers and shoppers. Standout dishes include a spicy beef salad called Tiger's Tear, the lamb in basil sauce and the catfish in ginger sauce.
Better off elsewhere – There are lots of thai restaurants in the area which is great because it means you do not have to tolerate poor service. Between the poor service, mediocre food at above average prices and the blaring frenetic music (not that I don't like loud electronic dance music - just not with my dinner), we won't go back. Too bad because it's also the closest thai restaurant to our house.
