Champa Thai & Sushi Restaurant

4.3

About this business

Champa Thai and Sushi's cuisine reflects our home province in Northern Thailand. It's different than other parts of Thailand because of our shared borders with the countries of Laos and Myanmar. The cuisine of this region shows heavy influences from each of these bordering nations. This adds a variety that makes our specialty dishes unique.

Just check your credit card online after dining in – I found I was charged more than pre-authorization. I faxed and notified the restaurant but they did not get back with me. Just correct the amount. Just not a pleasant place for me to go again.

Below par I love thai food and always try out the pad thai to determine if a place has good food. Theirs was pretty uninspired and I determined right away that this place wasn't worth it. The prices are higher than most thai places, and the food is really bland. The decor also feels cold. Skip this one.

Expensive I used to love eating here but the prices have gotten out of control and the food isnt as good as it used to be. Its one of the only places local that I can find the yummy drunken noodles that I love.

Yummy chicken cashew I've been here for lunch several times and I usually get the chicken cashew. Yummy! My husband likes the curry and the soup. It can get crowded -- as its not very big inside - but its conveniently located in Brier Creek.

Inconsistent is the best description – I've been to Champa over 10 times. The reason I stopped going is because of the inconsistency. The sushi is really good sometimes and just so so other times. The service can be really good. There is one waitress that knows us by name and if we are seated in her section then all is well. Otherwise, it's very slow and my husband who orders Thai always gets his food way earlier (sometimes 15 min) than I get my sushi. It's as if there are two separate restaurants. I love their lobster rolls... read more

Always looking forward to coming back – We are regulars at this restaurant and every time we are very pleased with the food. As we are not the pickiest customers in terms of service and don?t like servers jumping around us too much, I have never noticed the staff being unprofessional as the other reviewer mentioned. The food, mainly sushi, is what we go there for and are always pleased with the quality and selection. The service is fast, so it is our favorite place for lunch, as we work in RTP. I would recommend it to anyone... read more

Atrocious customer service – With so many excellent restaurants in the Triangle area I've gotten spoiled with the the "triple threat" restaurants: spectular food, delightful atmosphere and professional staff. In an attempt to make reservations, the male that answered the phone told us "no reservations and expect an hour wait because we are wildly popular". When asked if the wait time could be reduced by arriving early, he responded by saying "I don't have time for this" and hanging up. Given our country's current economic un... read more
