Dr Chu was highly recommended to me by my Physical Therapist. She was spot on! Dr Chu listened very carefully to all I had to say about my knee pain and after ordering and reviewing tests, he thoroughly discussed with me all of my options. I settled on surgery which he performed. It was very successful. Follow up appointments were thorough and thoughtful, always taking in to consideration everything I had to say. Dr Chu is a wonderful doctor and a great surgeon.
I've seen Dr. Spellman twice for two separate injuries, knee and hip. For the initial diagnoses, he spent 15-20 minutes just listening to me and asking questions about the injury, symptoms, etc. before touching my leg. Dr. S is a good listener. He gave a cortisone shot for my knee. For my hip, he gave oral steroids. He recommended some follow-up diagnostics i.e. MRIs, X-Rays. At the second visit, Dr. S fully explained my issues. Dr. Chu has great bedside manner, Super friendly and knowledgeable. I'd never been to an orthopedic before and was worried that they'd go straight to recommending surgery; which he didn't. Would recommend
