I  would give Dr. Dornbandt a ten star review…He is a true animal lover..very caring, and kind vet..though am struggling financially, after getting my dogs cataracts removed, I am so thrilled that he restored her eyesight.. Dogs are family….This opthamologist vet is the best, as well as the techs.. They are all kind, and caring.. Only wish he wasn’t so far away, from Saybrook, as I can’t drive that far, so have to rely on my fringe driving me with my car, of course.. Just so Blessed that the surgery went well.. Thank you Dr.... read more

Terrifying place for any animal. 9 hours on the parking lot separated from my senior dog. Horrible experience. Had to call every other hour on status, told to wait, walked in and demanded to get my dog. Unprofessional at best.

I brought my rabbit to Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, Inc., because she was in GI stasis. However, Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, Inc., injured my rabbit's leg. When I brought my rabbit home, she could not walk. Furthermore, Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, Inc., gave me medicine to give to my rabbit; however the dosage that they gave her was six times he dosage that she should have actually received. The incorrect dosage affected my rabbit's heart. I had to bring my rabbit to another vet ... read more

BEWARE. I CAUTION you to NOT bring your pets to this place if you love them. See the below letter for our miserable experience: To Central Hospital For Veterinary Medicine, Now that my wife and I have had a few days to cool down, we wanted to reach out to you and express our sincere disgust with your hospital, the careless nature in which you treat your clients and the immense emotional toll it took on us. This past weekend, my wife and I brought our bird to your hospital given a recent change in her behavior. It turns ou... read more

I absolutely love every single doctor I have come into contact with at Central Hospital. To start, my Toby was under the care of Dr. DeMadron for 18 months. There are not enough good things to be said about Dr DeMadron, Stephanie and Jen in the Cardiac department. They’re by far top tier specialists. Dr Olmstead in Oncology was fantastic when my cat was diagnosed with cancer. During COVID things can be difficult - waiting outside, etc. but I’ve always been called with updates as I waited for my pets. A lot of the reviews her... read more

I have always had great care here for specialists and in emergencies with several dogs over the years.

Absolutely not. A poor excuse for an animal hospital. I came to them with an extreme emergency to save my pets I in life and they refuse care Unless thousands was giving up front, continue to ask for payment for the little care that they did do and if I didn’t pay we were not able to transport her to An animal rescue, that was an hour away and we had to transport her with her injuries ourselves, and failed to tell us that if we drop her there for her to get the care that she need we would not be able to get her back.
